Nikonos Appollonio 12 String
I don't play this one as much as it deserves, but when you want a 12 string, you want a good one, And it is. I find myself using it disproportionately booth when recording or performing solo. It has a chorus of sound. Port Orford Cedar top, Myrtle Back, Maple neck, an All-American made in Maine.

Blackbird Carbon Fiber
Bought for camping, canoeing, campfires, places where another guitar may be damaged, weather does not affect carbon fiber. This is the only CF guitar I know without a cutaway, but it has a soundport (hole in the side, so the player gets better feedback) and is a 13 fretter. A friend who has Martins and Gibsons thinks it is the best sounding and playing guitar ever made. I disagree.

Simon Fay 6 String
Built to be my "old age" guitar, it features 1 13/16" nut, a Manzer wedge, soundport, somewhat smaller body size than most of my others. Made from Tiger Myrtle (an Australian tree) and "sinker" Redwood with a Mahogany neck, and a Port Orford Cedar side liner. Its abalone trim sparkles in low light. The tone sparkles in any light. Built in Florida.

Mike Franks Resonator
Made in Michigan of Tasmanian Blackwood (a relative of Koa), I normally play this in standard tuning. it gives a different sound to any piece and can be used in a variety of genres, not just blues. Has a woodier sound than more commonly found metal-bodied resonators.

Goodall 6 String
My first really good guitar, bought n 2005, it sports a Port Orford Cedar top and a fiddle-back Mahogany back. Typical of POC, there's this wonderful gingery smell. As a full-size jumbo, this is a bigger bodied guitar than my others, yet it remains comfortable to play.

Mark Hatcher "Josie" Model
Mark has an outstanding aesthetic taste among a cadre of builders who are renowned. He also makes outstanding guitars; they're not just pretty. This one uses a bearclaw Sitka Spruce top and has a "bacon" Padauk (African wood) back. Usually, Padauk is boring to see (but not to hear). Where does he find such wood?

National 1931 Duolian
It's a beast, good in a bar fight and from the looks of it, has probably seen a few. it has as much mojo as a guitar can have. All steel except for the neck and, yes, it's heavy.
